CASY vocal tract (via MRI of C. Best)

Articulatory Synthesis is a method of synthesizing speech by controlling the speech articulators (e.g. jaw, tongue, lips, etc.). This demo provides a brief overview of the original Haskins Laboratories articulatory synthesis program, ASY, and related work. ASY was designed as a tool for studying the relationship between speech production and speech perception.

This is a legacy demo intended to capture a bit of the Haskins history of articulatory synthesis and provide a brief, virtual tour of the ASY model.
